The Oregon Department of Energy offers free telephone technical support of the Energy Codes. Call 1-800-221-8035 (toll-free in Oregon) and ask for technical support for an energy code-related question. The receptionist will route your call to one of the available staff. If nobody is available at the time, please leave your name and phone number on the voice mail. The voice mail is checked several times a day and your call will be returned within 24 hours if possible.

WholeBuilding Approach

The Oregon Department of Energy in conjunction with the OBOA and local code jurisdictions has developed numerous publications designed to support both the code jurisdictions and the building professional in making the energy code as understandable and simple as possible. This Web site contains downloadable public domain copies of all publications and software that have been developed in support of the energy code.

If your organization needs on-site training, contact Alan Seymour at the Oregon Department of Energy (503) 378-5873 to schedule a session. Mini-workshops are intended to provide on-site training for designers and builders on Oregon's energy code. To maximize the value of this service, we are asking for a minimum participation of five people. Topics include:
